Two ways to use this sheet

Keep a removable field note

Write on one large card and use a botanical pocket as its holder. P01 and P02 use BG05-a as the intended insert; compare the dimensions and keep the top accessible when arranging your page.

Caption a collection of small memories

Use the small cards for individual observations and the strips for dates or places. You can glue them directly onto a page without making a folded structure.

Choose a card before cutting

The large cards, small cards and strips serve different purposes. Check the dimensions beside each preview, then cut its outside rectangle. All pieces print at the same physical size in the A4 and Letter versions.

Make a journal page with this sheet

Use it with

P01 pairs the lined large card with this page-backed botanical pocket.

P02 uses the large card in a taller library-style pocket with its own back.

Use the writing panel as a base and keep extra notes on one of these loose cards.

Choosing and using this printable

Which cards have writing lines?

The cream Field Notes card and the two lower small cards are ruled. The pale green large card and the two upper small cards have open writing areas.

Will every card fit every pocket?

No. The two large cards are the intended inserts for the botanical pocket projects. A pocket’s outside width is not its internal clearance; use the fold and fit notes on the pocket page before pairing pieces.

File notes

AI-assisted illustrations; text, linework and millimetre layout are controlled separately. The previews are rendered from the PDF.
