An A5 or larger notebook, scissors, ruler, paper glue and a pen. Save unused cut-outs and labels for later.
No cutting machine, hole punch or double-sided printing is needed.
Print the right pages
Choose the actual paper in your printer. Print single-sided at 100% / Actual size. Check the 50 mm ruler before cutting. Print backgrounds, cards and folded pieces separately when changing paper stock.

Use only paper supported by your printer. Paper weight, fold quality and a single stock for the whole project have not been verified.

Make it, step by step
Keep this page open while you make. Each image is an instruction diagram, not a photograph of a tested result.
Cut the selected pieces
Trim a 120 × 170 mm base from BG02-a, then cut BG03-a, BG04-a, BG05-a and BG07-a. Keep the two library-pocket tabs attached.

Fold the library pocket
Fold the decorated front toward the unprinted reverse of the back panel. Its printed words should face outward; fold both side tabs inward.

Join the side tabs
Apply glue only to the two side tabs and join the front to the back panel. Keep glue out of the card channel and leave the top open. Let it dry.

Mount the pocket on its base
Attach the trimmed BG02 base to your notebook, then fix the pocket back at (11, 42) mm. Check that you can grasp the top of the removable card.

Place the botanical accents
Attach BG03-a along the lower side of the pocket and BG04-a in the clear upper area. Neither piece may cross the opening or the card path. Let the glue dry.

Tuck in your note
Once the glue is dry, slide BG05-a into the open top with its writing facing you. Leave the upper edge easy to grasp. Remove it to add a note and return it to the pocket without forcing it.

The upper reverse of this single-sided pocket is plain. Before gluing, check that the decorated front faces outward. If the card catches, let the glue dry fully and check the two side seams; keep the open top free of glue.
