Record a small outdoor observation
Fill in the date and place, then use the centre for what you noticed: a colour, a sound or a change in the garden. Keep decoration near the edges so your notes remain easy to read.
Build a pocket page
Use the panel as the base for the First Botanical Pocket Page project. Its lower section can hold the BG06 pocket; keep longer writing on a separate BG05 card so the pocket does not cover it.
Trim a panel, not the whole printer sheet
Cut the outer rectangle around the Field Notes panel. The surrounding printer margins and calibration ruler are outside the finished piece. Print at Actual size to keep the panel dimensions shown below.

No. The centre is open, with a date and place line above it. Choose the lined large card on BG05 if you prefer ruled writing space.
Is this a full A4 journal page?
A4 and Letter describe the paper loaded into your printer. The writing panel is smaller; its finished dimensions are listed with the piece below.
